About Us

Our Company:

The Vinyl Spectrum was founded on Thanksgiving 2014 as a small home-based business designed around providing excellent vinyl products taylored to the crafting industry with fast shipping and excellent customer service.

We recently moved to large warehouse in Wyoming, Michigan and have opened a showroom for customers to walk in and view samples (all orders should still be placed online ahead of time). We also plan to eventually add training courses on common silhoutte topics such as learning to use the machine, the software, product types and even how to use a heat press.

Even though we have grown faster than originally planned we stay true to these core principals and every order placed with us gets treated like the only order of the day.  We get to know our customers and are passionate about helping them get the best products possible for the best possible value.

Our Owner (Nicholas Guppy):

While Nick has only been a vinyl supplier for a couple years, he had been making decals with his own cameo and also helps administer a large Facebook Community Group (Silhouette Cameo Creations) where members share Silhouette creations and get assistance on questions involving the machines, software, designs and supplier questions.

He previously worked as a Marketing Manager for an industratial vacuum manufacturing company for several years after moving on from managing several small restaurants earlier in his working life, all of which have helped shape the customer service focus that The Vinyl Spectrum is built around.

Nick holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and an associate degree in Marketing and Supervision.

When not in work-a-holic mode, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters.  He is also passionate about baseball and has a lifelong goal of manufacturing his own line of trading cards.

Our Team:

Nick's wife, Kate joined us full time in October of 2015 and handles most of our office duties and shipping.  She previously worked for the State of Michigan for 17 years and was helping out part time in the evenings and weekends since we started.

Our current staff is comprised of Carol, Allie, Kathleen, Alaina, Candice and Jon.  They all work hard every day to ensure your orders are carefully cut, picked, and packed as quickly as possible and on their way to you!  We are also looking for a couple more part-time employees that can fill in specific needs and days/times that we could use more help.  Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in this opportunity.
